The Hoosick Falls Central School District will reopen and return to hybrid learning for all UPK-12 students on Monday, January 4. We have been monitoring positivity rates in the community and Capital Region, working closely with the Rensselaer County Department of Health, Questar III BOCES and other school districts in the area throughout the holiday break. An in-person learning environment provides the best educational opportunities for students and we will continue to work in this way as long as possible in a safe and healthy manner for both students and staff.

Daily metrics will continue to be monitored as public health experts have predicted a significant rise in COVID-19 cases this January. As happened after Thanksgiving, the District may again be required to pivot to 100% remote learning at any time if the number of positive cases spikes in the community or we cannot staff the building safely. Please be prepared for this situation if it arises.

It will be Day 4 in the Elementary School and Day 1 in the High School.

Enjoy the remaining days of the holiday break as we look forward to a brighter 2021.
