We have assembled the most frequently asked questions about the meal distribution plan during the school closure.  If you have any other questions please contact the school lunch office at 518-686-7321 ext. 1708.   

Q: Who is receiving meals during the closure?

A: All students who are eligible for free or reduced meals can receive meals during this period.  If you normally pay for meals and are in need of food, you can receive meals by contacting the school. 

Q: When will meals be available?

A: Meals will be delivered by school bus between 9 and 11 based on the following schedule

Wednesday March 18th – 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches

Monday March 23rd – 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches

Thursday March 26th – 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches

Monday March 30th – 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches

 Q. What if I miss the bus delivery?

A: Unclaimed meals will be at the Armory located at 80 Church St, Hoosick Falls from 11-3 on the drop off days.   

Q. What’s included in the meals?

A: Meals will consist of the following:

Breakfast – cereal, fruit, muffin, milk 

Lunch – sandwich, fruit, snack, cereal bar, milk

As meals include milk they will need to be refrigerated.

Q. What if my child has allergies?

A: Please contact the school to request a special meal. We do have a current allergy list from the nurses, but please contact anyhow to make sure.

Q. Do students have to be present to obtain meals?

A: Yes, students need to be present when meals are dropped off.  If there are multiple children in a household, only one needs to be present for all meals to be dropped off.

Q. My children will not be home during the drop off time.  How do I obtain a meal?

A: We will drop off at any requested address within the school district.  Please contact the school to request a different drop off address. Meals will also be available at the Armory from 11 to 3 on the days noted above.

Q. What if I do not need meals dropped off?

A: Please contact the school to be placed on the opt out list.
