Superhero versus Villian Day

The students in grades UPK-4 participated in the Parents as Reading Partners program (PARP) throughout the month of March. PARP is a collaborative effort among teachers and families to foster a reading partnership between home and school. PARP provides the unique opportunity to instill a love of reading and positive reading habits among the whole family.

Throughout the month of March, students are encouraged to read daily with someone at home. They have the opportunity to earn prizes, participate in themed days and enjoy a final celebration with certificates, books and a movie.

Our school has chosen to partner with Read for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region throughout PARP month to raise donations for families dealing with serious childhood illnesses and injuries.  We raised a total of $1,359 this year.  Thank you to the Reading Teachers for coordinating this wonderful event and to all of the children and families who participated!
