Last Friday, November 8, 2024, HFCS held three Veterans Day assemblies, one for each school. We were joined by several Veterans and friends of the military from our community: Chuck Krawczyk, Sandi Cimorelli, Sherman Hoffman, Debbie Myers, Pastor Hector, Joe Dworakowski, Dan Moon, Bud Bentley, Jack Van Der Kar, Kevin Kasle, Martha Babbitt, Kathy Betts, Jared Amuso, Joyce Brewer, Thomas Peabody, Sgt. Kenneth Wells, Gene Loparco, Sally Johnston, and guest speakers Lieutenant Colonel John Brownrigg and Senator Jake Ashby. HFCS is pleased to acknowledge our current employees that are also Veterans: Mr. Fleming - U.S. Marines, Mr. Jennings - U.S. Army, Mr. Farley - U.S. Army Reserves, N.Y. Army National guard, Mr. Lawrence - U.S. Army, Mr. Matatt - Army National Guard, Mr. Steller - U.S. Air Force, Mrs. Carknard-Army Reserves, and new to us this year, Mr. Econome - U.S. Army. The following students read the Veterans Day Proclamation: Abigail Weeden, Bret Giglio, Grady Rowlands, Ryan Senecal, Mari Cleary, Memphis Hathaway, Owen Hart, Sam Boyer, Mea Cleary, Carter Pierce, and Reagan Stearns. The following fourth grade students read the history of Veterans Day: Emily Battles, Aiden Benkoski, Alexandria Chapones-Ulloa, Eleanor Herbig, Carter Klebbe, Patrick LaPan, Noah Lawrence, Austin Lee, Julienna Nadeau, Dax Robichaud, Haydent Rock, Perry Rowlands, Jaxon Veach, Emily Weeden, Avery Whitman, and Avery Woodard-Fote. Thank you to all of our teachers and staff, students, guest speakers and Veterans that joined us for the day.
