High schoolers in Ms. Gulley's Introduction to Agriculture class recently competed in NY Ag in the Classroom's Mac & Cheese Challenge. Students researched and developed their own recipe, budgeted the shopping list to a strict $25, and then competed head to head to see who would have the winning recipe that the entire class would prepare. Students had to make choices based on 2 qualifiers- most delicious or most cheese used. After measuring, mixing, and making their recipes with love, the cafeteria so graciously baked the dishes for each class to enjoy. Students also took some time to share what they're grateful for with their classmates. The main point of this contest is for young people to learn about NY's dairy industry, and how to further promote it, as it is the largest agricultural industry in the state.
