2/4/25: The Hoosick Falls bowling team traveled to Saratoga Strike Zone for
this year’s Wasaren League Tournament. The tournament featured teams from around the
league and is modeled after the Section 2 Tournament that will begin at the end of next week.
The Panthers finished the day in 3 rd place with a total of 5701 pins, 331 pins behind 2 nd place
Mechanicville and 1 st place Stillwater. Hoosick Falls sophomore Memphis Hathaway was the
top bowler for the tournament, finishing with a 6-game total of 1298, a 3-game high of 672, and
a high game of 246. Mechanicville’s Nate Starks posted the high game for the day with a 287.
Other scores for Hoosick Falls included Sam Boyer 1082-568-247, Elliott Brenenstuhl 1074-
559-217, Terry Kuebler 1021-532-198, Hailey Bedford 584-222, Chris Weeden 955-510-223,
Reed Hoag 898-458-172 and Sophie Hayes 895-489-181. At the close of the tournament this
season’s Wasaren League All Stars were announced. Memphis, Hailey and Sam were named
as 1 st team all-stars while Elliot and Terry were named to the 2 nd team. Hoosick Falls will now
turn their attention the Section 2 Tournament, competing in Class B on Tuesday in
Schenectady.
1/31/25: The Hoosick Falls bowling team hosted Saratoga Catholic for the
final match of the Wasaren League regular season. The Panthers finished with a total of 3199
pins to Saratoga Catholic’s 3080, winning the match by a score of 4-1. Following the match the
team met to celebrate the season and honor their lone senior, Elliott Brenenstuhl. Hoosick Falls
sophomore Sam Boyer 238-646 led all bowlers while Jason Pescetti 236-602 led Saratoga
Catholic. Other scores from Saratoga Catholic included Sal Cerio 215-579, Mark Mahay 194-
547, Martin Elio 182-498, Aiden Farrel 159-445, Sam Caron 161- 441, Damian DeRenzis 150-
435, James Comstock 159-418 and David Mattes 141-397. Other scores from Hoosick Falls
included Hailey Bedford 224-620, Memphis Hathaway191-538, Elliott Brenenstuhl 197-530,
Sophie Hayes 171-470, Moses White-Rancourt 188-431, Anastacia McCart 164-431, Chris
Weeden 148-395, Reed Hoag 149-393, Kaleb Brenenstuhl 147-391, Carter Stratton 138-362,
Skyla Myers 126-357, Michael Wang 138-352, Ben Stratton 122-319 and Levi Gifford 105-278.
With the win the Panther’s finished the season with a record of 50-10, securing 1 st place in the
Wasaren League for the first time since the 2021-22 season. Hoosick Falls Junior Hailey
Bedford also finished with the high game and 3-game series for the league season with her 289
on December 3 rd at Hometown Lanes and her 749 on January 28 th at the Barbecue Recreation.
The team will now advance to the Section 2 Class B Tournament, held on Tuesday 2/11 at
Boulevard Bowl in Schenectady.
