HFCSD is sending a big "Thank you!" to the Battenkill Valley Health Center in Arlington, VT. They recently worked with school Social Worker, Lisa Irwin, to provide 755 oral health goody bags to our elementary and middle school students. 🦷😁
Our friends at the Battenkill Valley Health Center would like to share a little more about this program:
Each spring, Battenkill Valley Health Center in Arlington, VT, continues its commitment to outreach and education by delivering oral health goody bags to local schools and daycares. Thanks to BVHC board member Jim Martinez, we connected with HFCSD last year and provided 420 goody bags to students in Pre-K through 4th grade. This year, we expanded that partnership, delivering 755 goody bags to students from Pre-K through 8th grade.
BVHC is honored to work alongside schools and daycares to help our youngest community members build healthy habits that last a lifetime. In total, BVHC distributed more than 2,200 goody bags throughout the community.
This initiative is part of BVHC’s Community Outreach and Education Program, made possible in part through generous support from the Northeast Delta Dental Foundation and the Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match Program.
