for an overview of the financial aid process including the FAFSA. The FAFSA opens for the class of 2025 December 1st, so this is a great time to learn about any changes and requirements. Open to any parent/guardian in the district.

The HFCS Middle School recently held a food drive and collected 680 items for the Hoosick Area Church Association food pantry, for holiday food distributions in the community. 🎶🎵Congratulations to our HFCS Band and Chorus students who performed at the Rensselaer County School Music Association All County Festival on Saturday, November 16th. There were 4 performing groups: Senior Chorus, Jazz Band, Junior Band, and Elementary Chorus. Students selected by their teachers, Dr. Yudkoff and Mr. Allen, are among the best in the county. Chyah Rhoden, Mya Wiggins, Mea Cleary, Lillian Murphy, and Sam Boyer represented the Senior Chorus. Josh Allen performed in the Jazz Band while Grady Rowlands, Brett Giglio, and Abigail Weeden participated in the Junior Band. This was a fun-filled experience with new insights for students as they worked with the invited conductors. Ethan McMahon and Shane Hatlee also sang in the Mixed Chorus at the NYSSMA Area All-State Music Festival, at Proctors Theatre on November 8-9, 2024. Go Panthers!🐾👏🎶

Hoosick Falls Central School District received a message today, 11/20/24, that was referred to the Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office. Out of an abundance of caution the school was placed in a SECURE. After investigating, the RENSCO Sheriff determined there was no immediate threat and the SECURE was lifted. Thank you.

Happening tomorrow, 11/21/24, is the HFCS PTA Members Meeting! We will offer childcare and a fall craft for the kids, so bring them along! The meeting will be held in Room 161 (please use the High School entrance) and will run from 5-6pm, right before the BOE meeting. Check out the pictures from last month! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 23 SENIORS ON THEIR ACCEPTANCE TO HVCC YESTERDAY! Yesterday, the HFCS Counseling Center welcomed a representative from Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), who met with seniors interested in attending next fall. Students will be pursuing majors in the following fields: business, construction, criminal justice, education, electrical, health sciences psychology, radiology and more! GO PANTHERS!

HFCS is selling the bleacher boards that were removed from the High School Gym.
The boards are being sold “AS IS”. Multiple species of wood, mostly believed to be red oak . Multiple bolt holes. Multiple widths, and lengths are mostly 16'. Approximately 100 boards.
